Livelihood & Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP)
The Livelihood & Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP) implemented by Gaon Gathana Samiti in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development is focused on skill development, enterprise creation, and sustainable livelihood generation for rural women.
🔸 Key Focus Areas:
1. Skill Development & Product Training
Under LEDP, intensive skill-based training is provided to women in selected trades such as:
- Tailoring & Embroidery
- Jute Craft & Modern Applique Work
- Food Processing (Pickle, Papad, Masala Making)
These trainings are designed to develop high-quality, market-ready products and enable women to become self-reliant.
2. Enterprise Creation & Entrepreneurship Development
The programme focuses on transforming trainees into micro-entrepreneurs through:
- Business planning and enterprise setup guidance
- Costing, pricing, and profit management
- Packaging, branding, and product standardization
3. Market Linkage & Business Support
To ensure sustainable income generation, LEDP facilitates:
- Market linkage through FPOs and institutional platforms
- Participation in exhibitions, fairs, and local haats
- Support in online and offline product marketing
4. Financial & Digital Literacy
Participants are trained on:
- Basic financial management (savings, credit, banking)
- Use of digital payment systems (UPI, mobile banking)
- Awareness on safe financial practices and fraud prevention
5. Exposure & Practical Learning
- Exposure visits to successful enterprises and markets
- Hands-on practical sessions for real-time production experience
6. Post-Training Handholding Support
- Continuous mentoring and follow-up support
- Assistance in accessing credit and government schemes
- Support in scaling up production and business activities
